If you are looking for a private hire venue in Herefordshire, Lyde Court gives you more than a standard function room. We have a historic stone barn, outdoor lawns, a courtyard, garden spaces, a bar, in-house catering and accommodation, all set within the Duchy of Cornwall Estate just outside Hereford.
Our barn can seat up to 250 guests for formal dining and works just as well for relaxed parties, informal gatherings, live music, dancing, speeches, presentations or family occasions. There is no set curfew and our bar licence runs until 2am, which makes the venue especially strong for evening celebrations and events where you do not want the night to end too early.
We regularly host birthdays, anniversary dinners, christenings, wakes and memorials, corporate retreats, team building days, hen parties, Christmas parties, proms, family gatherings and bespoke private events.

One of the most practical advantages of Lyde Court is that your guests can stay on site. For parties, family gatherings, corporate retreats and celebrations with guests travelling from further afield, accommodation means fewer taxis, fewer early departures and a more relaxed end to the night.
We have VIP en-suite rooms, Oast House rooms for groups, and additional camping or caravan options depending on the event. Staying on site also allows groups to make more of the countryside setting, with the café available Thursday to Sunday from 10am.
