A Barn Café in the Heart of Herefordshire
Lyde Court Café sits inside a 17th-century beamed barn on the Duchy of Cornwall Estate, just two miles north of Hereford city centre. People come to us for coffee, lunch, cakes, Sunday carvery, evening food, live music, open gardens and a countryside café setting that feels warm, characterful and relaxed.
The barn is candlelit throughout, with sofas, long tables, exposed timber and stone walls. Outside, our gardens and surrounding Herefordshire countryside unfold into footpaths, wildflower meadows, orchard views and outdoor seating. Walkers, cyclists, motorcyclists, families and dogs are all welcome.

We serve locally roasted James Gourmet coffee from Ross-on-Wye alongside loose-leaf teas, cakes, light lunches, hot dishes, sharing platters, kids food, Sunday carvery, Saturday BBQs and a full bar.
Many dishes are made in-house using herbs, spices and seasonal vegetables from the Lyde Court Potager garden where possible. The bar serves wines, cocktails, beers, local ales, Herefordshire ciders and drinks that make the café feel just as good for a relaxed evening as it does for coffee after a walk.

We’re set within the open countryside of the Duchy of Cornwall Estate, just two miles from Hereford, with countryside footpaths starting directly from the venue. Around the café you’ll find wildflower meadows, woodland, open fields, the Potager kitchen garden, orchard and views towards the Malvern Hills.
