If you’re a biker in Herefordshire, you’ll know that local motorcycle meet-ups are few and far between. Most riders have to travel over the border into Worcestershire or Gloucestershire to find regular bike nights or biker-friendly cafés. That’s why we’ve decided to bring something new to the scene – introducing Bike Nights at Lyde Court!
Running from April to September 2025, our monthly bike nights will take place on the second Thursday of each month, offering bikers a welcoming community space, plenty of parking and a different food theme each time. Whether you’re a seasoned rider or just love the motorbike scene, we’d love to see you there.

Why a Bike Night at Lyde Court?
Herefordshire has some of the most scenic biking routes in the UK, from the winding roads of the Wye Valley to the open stretches of the Black Mountains. However, despite the area’s popularity with bikers, regular motorcycle meet-ups are hard to come by. Many riders head across the county borders to find motorbike cafés or dedicated bike nights. We wanted to change that by creating a local, welcoming space for bikers to meet, eat and enjoy an evening out without the long ride home.
Lyde Court is perfectly located just two miles from Hereford, making it an ideal stop-off whether you’re finishing a ride or just looking for a great place to meet like-minded people. With a large parking area and a relaxed, friendly atmosphere, it’s a fantastic place to bring your bike, grab a bite to eat and chat with other riders.
A Venue with Motorbike Passion at Its Heart
Lyde Court isn’t just another event venue – it’s a place with real motorbike heritage. Owner Gary has been a lifelong motorcycle enthusiast and his passion for bikes is one of the reasons we wanted to create this event.
Learning to ride a motorcycle as soon as he passed his 16th birthday, Gary can be seen in this old grainy photo queuing in 1972 for FA Cup tickets on his Triumph Bonneville for the famous Newcastle United giant-killers game!

A few years later in 1984, Gary arrived at his own wedding on his 1950s Ariel HT5 500 and after the ceremony whisked bride Karen away in a sidecar! With such a strong personal connection to biking, he’s always happy to welcome fellow riders to Lyde Court.

Not only will we be hosting Bike Nights, but Lyde Court is also open to bikers any day that we are open (usually Thursday to Sunday 10am-4pm). Whether you’re passing through Hereford or looking for a new biker-friendly café to stop at, we’d love to see you.
What to Expect at Bike Nights
Each Bike Night at Lyde Court will run from 5pm to 8pm and feature a different food theme each month. From curries and burgers to pizza and fish & chips, there’s something for everyone. Here’s what’s coming up:
- 10th April – Curry Night – A choice of homemade chicken or veggie curry, served with rice, chips and naan bread.
- 8th May – Burger Night – Classic beef or veggie burgers with all the trimmings.
- 12th June – Pizza Night – Freshly made pizzas with two classic topping options.
- 10th July – BBQ
- 14th August –Pork Baps with chips
- 11th September –Fish and Chips
While there’s no need to book – an RSVP would be appreciated so we have an idea of how many to expect! But if the fancy takes you on the night just turn up, park up and enjoy an evening with other bikers.

A Place to Connect with Other Riders
One of the best things about Bike Nights is the sense of community they bring. Whether you’re riding solo or with a group, these evenings are a great chance to meet fellow motorbikers, check out some amazing bikes and swap stories over great food.
We want Lyde Court’s Bike Nights to be more than just a meal stop – we want to create a regular biker gathering that’s friendly, relaxed and welcoming to all. Whether you ride a classic, sports, touring or adventure bike, you’ll find plenty of like-minded people to chat with.
